Appel Game Guide

Appel is an exciting platform game developed by Griffpatch on Scratch. In this game, you’ll control a small yellow character wearing a green hat, overcome obstacles, and collect apples to complete levels.

Basic Gameplay

The simple goal is to reach the end of each level. You use WASD keys or arrow keys to move your character. The game has 9 levels with increasing difficulty and different mechanics.

Movement Skills You Need to Know

• Basic Movement: Use A/D or left/right arrows to move, W or up arrow to jump
• Wall Climbing: When jumping against a wall, hold left/right to stick to the wall. While clinging, you can press jump to push off the wall
• Character Shrinking: Hold S or down arrow to shrink, helping you pass through narrow spaces

Useful Tips for Playing

• Some walls are actually fake and you can pass through them – experiment!
• Hold the jump button longer to jump higher
• Try to collect all the golden apples in each level – this is an extra challenge for players

Create Your Own Levels

After trying the existing levels, you can create your own levels through the Level Editor feature:

1. Press number keys 1-7 to select block types
2. Press R to rotate blocks
3. Press E to switch to eraser mode
4. Press M to test the level you’re creating
5. Press Q to return to edit mode

Tips for Beginners

• Don’t rush, take time to get familiar with the controls
• Focus on reaching checkpoints before attempting difficult sections
• If a section is too difficult, practice through Level Editor
• The game can be quite challenging in later levels, but don’t get discouraged!

Appel is simple yet challenging and creative. You’ll feel very satisfied when you overcome difficult levels or collect all the apples. Have fun playing!
