Mancala

Mancala is an ancient strategy game where players try to collect as many seeds (or gems) as possible in their large cup, called the Mancala. With simple rules and deep strategy, it’s perfect for both beginners and players who enjoy thoughtful challenges.

•Each player controls a row of small cups (the bottom row is yours).

•Click on a cup in your row to pick up all the gems and distribute them counter-clockwise, one gem per cup.

•If your last gem lands in your Mancala, you get another turn.

•If the last gem lands in an empty cup on your side and the opposite cup has gems, you capture both and put them in your Mancala.

Collect more gems in your Mancala than your opponent by the end of the game. The player with the most wins.

•Chain extra turns by landing the last gem in your Mancala.

•Capture smartly by targeting your opponent’s cups.

•Control the board by leaving or removing key gems from critical spots.

The word “Mancala” comes from the Arabic word “naqala”, meaning “to move,” reflecting the game’s core mechanic of moving gems around. It originated in the Middle East and North Africa, with centuries of history.
