🎯 Overview Solitaire
Solitaire is a timeless single-player card game with roots in the 18th century. It became a global phenomenon thanks to its iconic inclusion in Microsoft Windows, introducing millions to the fun of digital cards.
Simple to learn yet deep in strategy, Solitaire is the perfect way to train your brain and practice patience.
🕹️ How to Play: Solitaire
The Objective Your goal is to organize all 52 cards into the four foundation piles at the top right, sorted by suit (♥, ♦, ♣, ♠) and in ascending order from Ace (A) to King (K).
Step-by-Step Rules
- The Deal The game starts with 7 columns of cards. Each column contains one more card than the previous one (1 card in the first, 2 in the second, etc.). Only the bottom card of each column is face-up.
- Moving Cards on the Board
- Descending Order: You can stack cards on the main board in descending order (K, Q, J, 10…).
- Alternating Colors: You must alternate between red and black suits (e.g., placing a Red 6♥ onto a Black 7♠).
- Moving Stacks: You can move sequences of cards as a group if they are already correctly stacked.
- Building the Foundations
- As soon as an Ace (A) appears, move it to one of the four foundation slots at the top.
- Build up from there (2, 3, 4…) in the matching suit.
- Using the Stock Pile
- If you run out of moves on the main board, draw from the stock pile (top left) to reveal new playable cards.
- Winning the Game
- The game is won when all 52 cards have been successfully moved from the board and stock pile into the four foundation piles, completing the sequence from A to K.
🎯 Objective
The primary goal of Solitaire is simple but challenging:
- Build the Foundations: Clear the board by organizing all 52 cards into the four foundation piles at the top. Each pile must correspond to a specific suit (♥, ♠, ♦, ♣) and be built in ascending order from Ace (A) up to King (K).
- Race for the High Score: While completing the deck is the main victory condition, advanced players aim to finish the game as fast as possible or with the fewest moves to maximize their score.
💡 Tips for Better Play
- 🂱 Reveal Hidden Cards First Always try to uncover the facedown cards in the main columns (tableau) before drawing new cards from the stock pile. The more cards you reveal on the board, the more options you have.
- 🂮 Target Long Stacks Prioritize clearing the columns with the most cards. These longer stacks hide the most secrets and are key to unlocking the game.
- 🃁 Kings Rule the Empty Spots Don’t empty a column unless you have a plan! Remember that only Kings can be placed in an empty slot to start a new pile.
- 🃏 Think Before You Move Don’t make a move just because you can. Pause and consider the consequences—sometimes it is better to leave a card where it is than to block a future move.
- ⏱ Use Undo Wisely If your game version supports it, use the Undo button to test different paths. It’s a great way to learn strategy without losing the game.
